Electrician Apprentice 1st Year Job - Xcel Energy (Lubbock, TX)

Electrician Apprentice 1st Year-29864 Description Position summary Applicant will be responsible for construction, operation and maintenance of transmission and distribution substation equipment, energized and de-energized.
Support all delivery tasks when necessary.
Applicant must be self-motivated, work well with others, have a positive attitude and be committed to working safely.
The applicant will be subject to callout after normal working hours and weekends.
The applicant will also be subject to travel and overnight stays with notice.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Must have passed the EEI Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) selection test.
Must pass the federal DOT physical exam.
Must pass the federal DOT drug screening.
Must be of adequate physical stature.
Lift and maneuver up to 90 pounds Climb lattice structures and work out of a bucket truck.
Heights up to 80 ft.
Work in confined spaces.
Some travel involved.
Must exhibit a teamwork attitude and work well with others.
Must be mentally competent, able to communicate, able to comprehend instructions and build on previous experiences.
Must have the ability to learn and/or operate substation test equipment.
Must live within 20 minutes of the Lubbock, TX.
Service Center.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
