Overview:
The Neighborhood House Intern is responsible for cataloguing and incorporating support documentation to maintain standards of reporting for various grants, as well as other day to day assignments that support ongoing assistance programs within Neighborhood House.

Responsibilities:
We Are Warriors We Set the Standards for Child WelfareWork Standards Support day-to-day operations of Neighborhood House Scan, categorize and itemize documents from prior years Courteously and professionally answer and screen calls for request of assistance and program information Ensure client and sensitive Agency information, files, and records are securely maintained; maintain the confidentially of all client and Agency information, files, and records always Comply with all grant reporting requirements per grant guidelines; ensure report submission meets the reporting deadline; develop and maintain a tracking system of all annual proposals and grants received (awarded) We Are Servants We Help OthersTeamwork Suggest innovative ideas for any efficiencies identified Assist with clerical duties associates with grant management and contribute to departmental efficiencies Assist with maintaining current records in database, including grant tracking and reporting; track statistics relevant to development and provide department with written materials necessary for donor stewardship; complete and submit interim, progress, and final reports and ongoing feedback to funders We Are Family We Are Passionate & Compassionate Building Relationships Work as member of the team and exhibit professional behavior and a positive attitude with both internal and external clients that reflects positively on the Organization and is consistent with Organization policies and practices Develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, staff, vendors, donors, and other clients to ensure project needs and expectations are being met within project scope and meets the established deadline Work as team player and exhibit professional behavior and a positive attitude with both internal and external clients that reflects positively on the Agency and is consistent with Agency policies and practices.

Qualifications:
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications Undergraduate (junior or senior), graduate student or recent graduate (within 6 months) Ability to input data correctly and efficiently Ability to work independently and with others Strong work ethic and ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Strong time management & organizational skills Basic skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Physical Demands & Work Conditions This position requires sitting and looking and using a computer for long periods.
Position may work in a child facility and have limited exposure to children.
Lift, push, pull or move up to 50 lbs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
