IT Support Specialist IV
The IT Support Specialist IV's scope includes providing technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students with the use of software applications, customized applications, systems support, and websites, etc. This position may also manage area or unit IT software projects in support of business operations. Major/Essential Functions 1. Maintain a secured network in accordance with TTU IT security pouch including patchin or replacing as necessary
2. Perform Fusion Software system administrator functions.
3. Serve as support to staff on hardware, software and peripheral devices. Troubleshoots hardware, software, and system problems and concerns within areas in Recreational Sports. Continuous research on advanced technology for the department.
4. Maintain the department payroll system and other 3rd party applications as required.
5. Maintain databases both local and TOSM hosted, including updating backup and querying as required. Leadership must adhere to all institutional policies for Recreational Sports Department.
6. Interact with all user levels of proficiency in order to assist in performing their responsibilities.
7. Diagnose and repair/replace PC's, printers, and ancillary devices. Provide technical guidance regarding capital replacement, and other technology purchases.
8. Assist with assessment initiatives within the Department, including development of tools and interpretation of data and results.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus five (5) years related full-time paid experience OR a combination of related education and/or experience. Applicants for this Security Sensitive Level II position will be subject to a criminal background check and must pass a drug and alcohol test after a conditional offer of employment has been extended, but before employment can be confirmed.
