Vice President-HR/Chief Human Resources Officer

The VP, HR/CHRO is responsible for all aspects of human resources at TTUHSC on all campuses and Correctional Managed Health Care including:
Internal Communication, Change Management, Administration, HRIS/analytics, Compensation/Benefits, Labor Relations, International Employment Services, Health and Wellness, Recruitment, Learning and Development, and primary human resources staff daily functions.
As a key member of the Leadership team, the VP, HR/CHRO will report to the President of TTUHSC and will also work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement programs that are aligned with the university's future business plans, operations and objectives.
The position will remain open until filled; however, first review of completed applications will start on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Applications received on or after July 12th may be considered in a secondary pool.
Major/Essential Functions
Build the university's human resources function to include all human resources functional areas that will create an effective, respected human resources organization and ensure that it is proactive, anticipatory and viewed by its clients to be critical to TTUHSC's overall success.
Serve as a key advisor and confidante to the senior management team on all aspects of human resources, and help develop the executive team into a cohesive and aligned group.
Design and implement a well-defined leadership development and training strategy, including the identification of high potential talent and evaluation of internal/external programs and systems and lead the succession and organizational planning processes.
Create a staffing function to ensure the university has the mission critical talent required to fit the culture and scale of the university. Focus on enhancing attraction, talent pipeline, culture, engagement and talent retention.
Assist with reviewing the university's strategic plans and proposing defined talent management plans that align with such strategy. The VP, HR/CHRO will also assist in the areas of cultural change & management, organizational design, performance management and talent management as it relates to TTUHSC's strategic planning efforts.
Work with operational leaders to develop career paths to attract and retain top talent in each market.
Work with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that forward thinking/competitive programs are in place, or are being developed continued focus on executive and general compensation schemes as well as sales & commission incentive programs.
Assess, develop and lead a strong, effective human resources team.
Play an active role in ongoing growth with the focus on key talent selection & development.
Participate in/lead/shape strategic discussions around compensation/executing a reward program which will align with overall goals of the university. Ensure that forward thinking/competitive programs are in place, or are being developed.
Ensure that current/newly hired executives, leaders and employees are fully integrated into the university. This may include developing innovative and cost effective solutions to talent assessment and onboarding.
Tied with the university's employee communications strategy, function as a spokesperson for the university on human resource issues; demonstrate sophistication in dealing with both internal and external constituents.
Actively travel to TTUHSC campus sites to build relationships with administration, faculty, staff and students.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in appropriate field relating to area of responsibility plus ten (10) years of professional and management experience in similar area. Additional job-related education may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Experience in aligning, developing and leading the charge in sustaining and improving the internal human resources functions. Possess a sound technical background in traditional human resources competencies as they relate to the higher academia space and be skilled in both devising and, more importantly, deploying human resources strategy & tactics. Recent work experience in all areas of the human resources function including Employee Communications, Performance Management, learning and development (L&D), Training and Development, Change Management and Policy revitalization with a track record of success contributing to a senior management team. Preferred Qualifications
Master's or Doctorate degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration or a closely related field from an accredited university. Additional job-related education may be substituted for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Progressively responsible experience in human resources management including at least three (3) years of executive leadership and/or management experience in Human Resources.
SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification.
Human Resources experience in a public higher education or health services role will be considered a plus.
Experience with working in an organization with multiple sites or constituencies is beneficial.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
