The owner preferred the look of the 1955 Chevrolet so he bought all new steel fenders, hood, and grille.
Keith Fox, Merlin's Rods & Customs, Lubbock, Texas, designed and built the truck over a four-year period, finished in spring of 2022.
Cab has new metal floor, new cab corners, and new rocker panels.
Bed customized featuring filled side rail tops, new wood, and new gas tank.
New 1955 Chevy steel front tilting hood 1099R and hinges.
Original frame, 1978 Camaro front clip with disk brakes, 1984 Z-28 steering box, Camaro rear end with 78 Camaro springs.
American Auto wiring kit.
Paint is 1984 American Motors Ice Blue, Code 3624.
Engine is mid 1990s 350 Chevrolet with Vortex heads, Z-28 valve springs, 9:
1 compression, 300 horsepower.
Engine had approximately 3,000 miles when I when I bought it from a gentleman who replaced it with a 383.
350 Turbo transmission.
Custom exhaust system by Joe's A & B Muffler Service, Lubbock, Texas, features Flo Tec headers, 2 1/2 dual exhaust system with custom fabricated X-pipe, all aluminized steel, Borla XR-1 stainless steel oval body mufflers with 2 1/2 inch angle cut chrome tips.
Wheels are aftermarket Chevy Rally 7 front, 8 rear, new tires.
Seat is mid-80s Ford pickup, all new LMC glass, electric windows, AC, Dakota Digital dash.
